The German Research Foundation (DFG) has funded so called „transfer projects” in Collaborative Research Centres since 1996. They are based on the idea to set up a framework for joint research activities for universities/research institutes and applicants to transfer findings from basic research to applied research. Simultaneously, transfer projects should initiate knowledge return flows to the areas of basic research. The Centre for Economic and Innovation Research of JOANNEUM RESEARCH has conducted an evaluative study on the transfer projects in Collaborative Research Centres.

The final report will be available on the website of the DFG within 2012.
