  Growth Trends of European Forests
Growth of forests is modified by various natural and human influences

  Climate Change and Forest Production
The aim is to give a basis for estimating the change in forest production due to possible global warming. This is done by the use of a provenance test with field tests in Canada, Sweden and Finland.

SATELLITE DATA HELP RESEARCHERS TRACK CARBON IN NORTHERN HEMISPHERE FORESTS
NASA-funded Earth Science researchers, using high-resolution maps of carbon storage derived from NASA-developed satellite data sets, suggest that forests in the United States, Europe and Russia have been storing nearly 700 million metric tons of carbon a year during the 1980s and 1990s.

  AFFOREST
The overall aim of AFFOREST is to elaborate guidelines for afforestation of former agricultural land in north-western Europe to account for a number of environmental impact categories: atmospheric deposition, the leaching of nitrate, groundwater recharge, and carbon sequestration.
