Hannes Fassold finished his study of Technical Mathematics - branch: information sciences at the University of Technology in Graz with his master thesis "Verfeinerung von DEM mit Shape from Shading und automatischer Bestimmung von Lichtquelle und Reflexionsparameter" (April 2004).

Since July 2004 he works as scientific coworker at JOANNEUM RESEARCH - Institute of Information Systems. His major fields of interest are Applied Mathemetics, Image Processing and Computer Graphic.
