Andras Horti was awarded a MSc (Electrical Engineer - branch: electrical medical devices) by the University of Electrotechnic in Leningrad for his master thesis on "Combined Electronic Stimulator".
After graduating the University he worked from 1894 till 1985 at Medicor where he was in charge for quality assurance for blood analysis devices.
Between 1985 and 1990 he worked at Polar on developing HW and SW of microcontrollers for automatisation. From 1990 till 1992 research institute SZKI: Design and Development of Client/Server based Applications for a service station.
From 1992 till 2001 Design und Development of data processing systems for the casino industry. Since 2001, Andras Horti works as a research engineer at JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Institute of Information Systems.
His areas of experience and interest cover knowledge management, its application to multimedia and pratical uses of the MPEG-7 standard.
