Career
Harald Stiegler was awarded MSc (Telematics) by the University of Technology in Graz for his master thesis on "Creation of a WWW-based file management service using a Hyperwave Information Server" in 2000. After completing his studies he worked as a programmer at the Insitute for Digital Image Processing (JOANNEUM RESEARCH) in the area of realtime wood inspection.
After military service (October 2001) he hired at the Institute of Information Systems (JOANNEUM RESEARCH) as a research engineer.
In the past years, he has worked on multiple European Commission R&D (IST) projects in the area of information retrieval and digital image processing in general, and in the area of brand detection (DETECT, DIRECTINFO) in special. |
