The networking of spatial databases, the thematic structure of geographic management systems and the integration of mobile multisensor information systems allow the development of applications and services geared to specific user groups. These technologies are of benefit for the tourism and leisure industry, rescue organisations involved in disaster control and event management and for all companies dealing with geographically distributed processes and mobile staff or end clients.
