First Workshop of EBU Metadata Developer Network

DIGITAL contribution on MPEG-7 Audiovisual Description Profile

The Metadata Developer Network of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) organised it’s first hands-on metadata workshop on June 15th at EBU headquarters in Geneva. The workshop covered amongst others the topics Semantic Web, Linked Data, MPEG-7, and full text search and retrieval.

DIGITAL contributed with a tutorial on representating automatially extracted metadata using the MPEG-7 Audiovisual Description Profile. The profile is currently under standardisation in MPEG and DIGITAL has significantly contributed to its definition.
