Feasibility studies

Digital media and semantic technologies are commonly used in a large number of different application areas. For specific cases it is not always trivial to see how to use them in the most effective way. We have deep knowledge in these areas resulting from long term cooperation with European partners (e.g. archives) in this field. Knowing relevant trends and developments we conduct feasibility studies and design technical concepts, fitting the special needs of our customers. Furthermore we write studies on the current state-of-the-art in research and how industrial applications are built for particular cases. For that purpose we may conduct surveys with relevant companies to figure out strengths and weaknesses of their approaches.
One example was a regional library including an audiovisual archive based on analogue media. To prevent the archive from loss of data a feasibility study on possible migration scenarios was done as a first step. In the meantime a system was implemented making use of the study results. The system was already presented to the public.
Another example was a study on Intelligent Video Analytics in Security Applications - possibilities and currently available implementations for public places
