MPEG-7 Library

Open-source software for the development of MPEG-7 applications.

The MPEG-7 library is a set of C++ classes implementing the standard (ISO/IEC 15938-1:2001). With this library application developers are now able to create descriptions, manipulate them, serialise them to XML and de-serialise them from XML, including validation.
Developers who want to deal with MPEG-7 metadata but do not want to struggle with complex XML DOM programming will benefit from the MPEG-7 library.  MPEG-7 metadata, which are stored in a hierarchical XML representation, are made available in an object oriented hierarchical class tree.

To promote the uptake of MPEG-7, JOANNEUM RESEARCH is offering its MPEG-7 Library for free use.
The MPEG-7 Library is available for download as sources distribution and as binaries now in 64 bit as well for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X at: http://mpeg7.joanneum.at/
