Career

Bernhard Rettenbacher attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Salzburg. Afterwards he studied Telematics at Graz University of Technology. In 2003 he
was awarded a Master of Science for his master thesis "Concept and Implementation of a Software for Auditive Sound Analysis and Sound Design". In the context of this thesis he developed the software called PASQUAL for the Institute of Applied Systems Technology.

2002 he started to work for the Institute of Applied Systems Technology as a free coworker, since 2003 he works as a R&D employee.

His areas of experience and interest cover acoustic monitoring, acoustic measuring techniques, classification and segmentation of sounds, multimedia technologies, annotation, metadata, psychoacoustics, data stream systems, realtime systems, software design & development.

Awards

Member of the project team "AKUT - Acoustic tunnel monitoring", which has won the National Award for Telematics 2006.
