The key task facing the interdisciplinary team of doctors, business management specialists, and information engineers is to identify deficits in this system and to devise appropriate solutions so as to enable the best possible deployment of financial and human resources. In concrete terms, the aim is to optimise databases and cost analyses and to establish new structures for efficient dissemination of medical knowledge.
