Since November 2009 the departement Biomedical Technologies and Monitoring is certified according to EN ISO 13485:2003. Several medical products have been developed and CE certified since then:

• the dermal OFM catheter
• the OFM pump and
• the OFM accessories

With the implementation of a complete quality management system for medical devices a major milestone of the institute was achieved.

In the analytical laboratory group of the departement "Bioanalytics and Metabolomics" we develop analytical methods and validate methods for research projects as well as for contract services. We focus on full traceability of the analytical result quality.

Based on the QM system of JOANNEUM RESEARCH's EN ISO 9001:2008, the additional compliance with the OECD GLP principles is the prerequisite for documented traceability and maintenance of the high laboratory quality standards.

GLP certification by the austrian authority AGES was successfully finished in April 2012. By this certificate the analytical laboratory group becomes internationally visible as competent and professional partner for the pharmaceutical industry.
