Two representatives from DIGITAL - Institute of Information and Communication Technologies co-ordinate Planetary Rover field tests at Clarach Bay, Aberystwyth, UK.

Gerhard Paar and Arnold Bauer were conducting field tests during a PRoVisG workshop using the EADS-Astrium Rover "Bridget" in the period July 7-14, 2010.
Hosted by Aberystwyth University (AU) and organized by JOANNEUM RESEARCH, the workshop tested procedures for 3D vision processing as expected during the forthcoming European ExoMars-Mission 2018.
The DIGITAL Institute could demonstrate a three-dimensional reconstruction process based on ExoMars PanCam data taken with the AU PanCam simulation camera system within minutes. "Having more than 20 engineers, planetary scientists and computer vision experts in the loop helped a lot to rehearse the forthcoming Planetary scientific AMASE Expedition to Arctic Areas, to be supported by the ExoMars PanCam Team", PRoVisG co-ordinator Gerhard Paar says.  Principal PanCam 3D Vision Software Engineer Arnold Bauer will go for the Expedition in August – well prepared by the field test experience this July at Clarach Bay, Aberystwyth, Wales.
