Linked Data Camp Vienna 2009

Austria hot spot of the Semantic Web world

The first Linked Data Camp took place on November 30 and December 1 in Vienna. 30 international experts worked successfully on current topics of "Linked Data" which aims at connecting and using data, information, and knowledge on the Semantic Web. The event has been jointly organized by the Institute of Information Systems, Semantic Web Company, University of Vienna, Johannes Kepler University Linz, STI Innsbruck, and DERI Galway.

The co-located Vienna Semantic Meetup took place just after the first day of the Linked Data Camp and brought interested newcomers and Semantic Web experts together.

With the 4th International Conference on Semantic and Digital Media Technologies (SAMT 2009) from December 2-4 in Graz, organized by the Institute of Information Systems, and the European Semantic Technology Conference (ESTC 2009) in Vienna, Austria has been the hot spot of the Semantic Web world.
