YEAR
In February 2007 the Network YEAR, was formed in Udine (Italy), with JOANNEUM RESEARCH, as a founding member.
The Organisation “Young European Associated Researchers” can be understood as a network and support for young researchers in European research and technology organisations (RTO`s).
Currently the official members are:
- JOANNEUM RESEARCH (Austria – www.joanneum.at)
- CTR (Austria - www.ctr.at)
- KCL (Finland - www.kcl.fi)
- SINTEF (Norway - www.sintef.no)
- TNO (The Netherlands - www.tno.nl)
- VITO (Belgium - www.vito.be)
- VTT (Finland - www.vtt.fi).
YEAR concentrates on being a platform for the decision makers of tomorrow. The early socializing between researchers, knowledge exchange and easement in international cooperation leads to effective and fruitful cooperation. YEAR tries to sum up the needs, problems, wishes and questions of young European reseachers and develop applicable solutions. Amongst other topics YEAR engages in the following areas:
- workshops and courses in different topics and research areas
- exchange programs for researchers
- exchange of knowledge
- taskforce groups for specific topics
- further expansion of YEAR.
