ramm.x

The Institute for Information Systems & Information Management launched ramm.x, an initiative allowing the deployment of multimedia metadata on the Semantic Web.

Currently 14 international experts of well-known research groups are working on this proposal under the auspices of the Institute for Information Systems & Information Management. This activity enables to deploy different multimedia metadata schemes, like MPEG-7, MPEG-21 or EXIF within the Semantic Web. It is envisaged that these efforts finally lead to a standard in this domain. This initiative is also the result of numerous international research projects (NM2, K-Space, MediaCampaign, Salero, Aposdle, UAd), where this problem was investigated.
