Process monitoring
Process monitoring often involves the online acquisition of certain parameters under the most difficult of conditions. The Institute develops new detection methods incorporating optochemical and spectroscopic procedures to provide the necessary systems. Simultaneously, the researchers devise methods to monitor surface processes. Building on the knowledge thus acquired, the Institute also develops complete measuring equipment in cooperation with the clients. With these new sensor systems and measuring devices, it is possible to monitor processes in biotechnology as well as the food, pharmaceuticals and chemical industries. They are also useful for diagnostic applications in medicine.
