Feasibility Stage

You can complete a feasibility study by using the Encofor Decision Support System (Encofor Design DSS and Encofor Financial DSS). Set the Encofor Design DSS to ‘feasibility mode’ for a complete set of issues. Use the Encofor Financial DSS by using detailed information.

The procedure is supported by the following modules:

These modules include tools and manuals. The Economic, Environmental, Social and Institutional tools can be set to ‘feasibility mode’. Use these modules together with Encofor Design DSS and Encofor Financial DSS.

In case a pre-feasibility study was dropped or if otherwise required, the suitability of the land can be analysed using the Land Suitability Module as provided for the Pre-feasibility Stage.

The assessments provided in the modules listed here will combine to produce the feasibility study.

The results of the feasibility study determine whether a project can or should be implemented or not. If submitted for registration, a PDD must be prepared. This is covered in the Documentation Stage.

Project developers choosing to develop an example project in terms of social and environmental sustainability going beyond the A/R CDM requirements, may want to use the Encofor Plus mode.
