The directed light of the laser has already successfully established itself as a tool in many areas of materials processing. At the Laser Center Leoben, the power of light is harnessed especially in the manufacturing steps of welding, alloying and coating. Here, innovative processes are being developed which are opening up totally new areas of materials development, materials combinations, manufacturing and design solutions.
