Inventory of Graz’s Urban Trees

Based on digital Ultracam data and a digital surface model, an inventory of all individual trees and tree groups in the green belt of Graz are generated.

Abstract

The image data (incl. near infrared) from 2007 and surface model generated by Microsoft and the digital terrain model from the Surveying Office of Graz are the basic data sets for this analysis of all individual trees and tree groups in the green belt of Graz. The analysis is done together with the Institute of Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry of the Technical University of Graz. JR is providing thematical and software-technical support, the software library IMPACT and a script file for automated processing.
