Aircraft Acoustics
The aircraft industry is increasingly faced with the challenge of building not only safe but also comfortable aircraft. The acoustic properties may be a decisive competitive factor and essentially contribute to the success or failure of a model, especially in the sector of small and training aircraft.
The Institute was commissioned by the aircraft manufacturer DIAMOND Aircraft Industries to analyse the interior noise levels of a four-seater prototype using the latest scientific measurement methods and to derive measures for optimising acoustic comfort inside the cockpit.
