Career

Georg Thallinger studied Telematics at the University of Technology in Graz.
Since 1992, he works with JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Institute of Information Systems. He is the head of the digital media group and is engaged in the implementation of innovative solutions in the areas of film restoration, content based analysis and retrieval of audiovisual media, media monitoring and security. 
In addition to the research work he co-ordinates large, international projects.
