Eric Kirschner studied economics and environmental system sciences at the Karl Franzens University of Graz / Austria, the University of Twente/the Netherlands and the University of Munster/Germany. He obtained a master degree in economics and natural sciences. Since 2006 he works as a researcher at JOANNEUM RESEARCH. His research is focused on regional development, regional innovation systems and regional employment. Eric Kirschner is particular qualified in qualitative and quantitative analysis of regional competitiveness, structural change and policy strategies. In the past, Eric Kirschner was a lecturer for Economic and International Economics at the Karl Franzens University of Graz, the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems and the FH JOANNEUM - University of Applied Sciences in Graz.
