Researcher involved in various health services research projects, in particular literature searching and preparing systematic reviews.

Thomas Semlitsch obtained a MSc degree in Chemistry at the Karl Franzens University of Graz for his Master Thesis on the topic " Differential Influence of the Lipid Peroxidation Product 4-Hydroxynonenal on the Growth of Human Lymphatic Leukaemia Cells and Human Periopherial Blood Lymphocytes".

After working at an institute for clinical embryology and reproductive medicine for several years, he is employed as a scientist at the Evidence based Medicine Review Center (EBMRC) of the Medical University of Graz scince 2006. Since November 2011 he is also works as a scientific researcher at JOANNEUM RESEARCH.
