Career
Gerhard Streicher graduated in civil engineering from the University for Resource Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna in 1993. From 1989 to 2000 he worked in experimental hydraulic engineering as well as, from 1993 to 2000, as a freelancer at the BOKU's Institute for Economics, Poitics and Law. Since 2001 he has worked as a researcher at the Centre for Economic and Innovation Research of JOANNEUM RESEARCH. In 2006, he obtained a Doctorate with a Dissertation abou econometric IO-modelling. His main interests are economic modeling, econometrics, and technology policy.
