| Europe faces an increased pressure to urbanize, which is predicted to intensify in the next few years. The method of strategic urban foresight is able to provide evidence for long term strategic planning. This is due to its role as an integrated planning method which combines both participative as well as expert-driven knowledge gathering tools. An overview of various aspects related to the method of strategic foresight is given as well as an analysis of past applications in the context of urban development. |
