With the combination of digital innovations and technologies to achieve the "Green Deal" climate goals, the Institute DIGITAL is intensively involved in topics related to the circular economy. The focus here is on the optimal use and reuse of waste materials in production processes.

Therefore, DIGITAL is also involved as an active member in the Circular Future working group of the GreenTech Cluster. At the last meeting, the visions and goals were further sharpened and new ideas for the use of artificial intelligence in waste recycling were discussed. The Digital Waste Research Lab of the University of Leoben and the Andritz Recycling Technology Center of ANDRITZ AG, which offer an optimal environment for research projects, were also visited.
