The digitalization and increasing connectivity of (critical) cyber-physical objects enables the development of new applications but also leads to new safety & security related requirements in the design, testing, production and operation of these systems. The recently started Austrian flagship project Trustworthy IoT4CPS will develop guidelines, methods and tools towards safe and secure IoT-based applications for automated driving and for smart production. The consortium comprises 17 partners from Austria’s industry, academia and research centers. DIGITAL's competence group for Cyber Security and Defence leads the work package on security verification and analysis. It will participate in the elaboration of engineering guidelines and recommendations for resilient IoT system architectures. Furthermore, it will develop novel checking methods for safe and secure IoT systems, as well as reliable techniques to discover and classify IoT devices and networks.

The IoT4CPS project is partially funded by the "ICT of the Future" Program of the FFG and the BMVIT.
