The Czech state-owned highway and tunnel operator RSD (Ředitelství silnic a dálníc ČR) operates more than 2,000 km of highway network with numerous tunnels in the Czech Republic. RSD's expansion program for highways and tunnels for the next few years is immense.
A delegation from RSD visited the ASFINAG traffic management center in Vienna on 11.10.2021 to learn more about AKUT's capabilities.
Anton Sieber from ASFINAG presented ASFINAG's operational experience with AKUT and also introduced the company structure of ASFINAG and the tasks of the individual ASFINAG companies. Franz Graf presented AKUT on the basis of many practical events of the last years. Afterwards, there was a lively exchange with František Rainer, the technical director of RSD, and his colleagues about future possibilities of cooperation.
