people@JR

JOANNEUM RESEARCH is aware of its responsibility to its employees and creates a family-friendly working environment to reduce problems and tensions that can arise when combining a career with the everyday needs of a family.

Family-friendly working hours and schedule planning plus access to child care facilities that are organised and partly financed by the company help employees achieve a successful balance between pursuing a professional career and raising a family.

JOANNEUM RESEARCH also offers comprehensive information on the care of relatives in a scheme operated in cooperation with Karl-Franzens-University of Graz. Such information can help support employees facing  challenges involved in finding a balance between a career and family obligations.

JOANNEUM RESEARCH collects and makes available information on issues that are relevant and important to parents. This information includes current company agreements and rules on pregnancy, parental leave and parental part-time work regulations.

All this information is summarised in the parents@JR information folder.

Activity and care programmes for children during the school holidays are both coordinated and offered under kids@JR and juniors@JR.

We are able to offer numerous opportunities for ensuring that children of JOANNEUM RESEARCH employees are well looked after and have rewarding and sensible activities to look forward to during school breaks, including the long summer holidays, through the cooperation we have entered into with various care facilities.

We also have special events every year to encourage children who are interested in research and technology.
