“Great experience, great content and great networking!” – said Imad El Kadi, Director of Operations, Paris Television Centre about IBC 2019. The yearly IBC – International Broadcasting Convention exhibition and conference took once again over the Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands and hosted some 50,000 visitors from around the globe. As one of the most influential events, IBC brought together technologies and business models around all forms of electronic media presented by around 1,600 exhibitors.

The latest version of the VidiCert software solution for efficient image and sound quality control in archive migration, production and distribution of video and film as well as successful implementation examples have been presented at the booth of JOANNEUM RESEARCH DIGITAL. The participation at the exhibition took place together with the HS-ART Digital Service GmbH, an Austrian company specializing in digital film restoration solutions. The team of JOANNEUM RESERACH DIGITAL presented the advantages and functionalities of VidiCert in numerous discussions and in-depth demonstrations.

Specialised software tools to increase and to automate consumer engagement around radio content were showcased at the joint stand of MARCONI and HRADIO in the Future Zone. Both projects let IBC visitors experience interactive and personalised radio, at home, on the road, or at a festival, in a stand that was uniquely designed for the experience. The project team were delighted to welcome many visitors from the radio sector that are interested in joining open pilots.
