JOANNEUM RESEARCH MATERIALS is a partner in the OITB project FlexFunction2Sustain. The project launches an Open Call for Pilot Case projects.

FlexFunction2Sustain: Open Call launched!

The Call offers a unique opportunity for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) & start-ups to receive subsidised access to the top-notch equipment and services of this ecosystem in order to develop and test novel nano-functionalised plastic and paper membrane and surfaces. Up to 20 selected applicants will be provided with customized support through a unique and complete set of services integrating technical, business, ecosystem expertise which will enable them to build up sustainable business cases.

The Open Call will have three cut-off dates on 28 January 2022, 29 July 2022 and 27 January 2023.

  • What services do we provide for the winners?
  • Purpose and background of the Open Call;

  • Eligibility criteria and conditions.

The project FlexFunction2Sustain

FlexFunction2Sustain will develop dedicated services to boost innovation for nano functionalised flexible plastic and paper surfaces and membranes and offer those services to users in all EU countries.

JOANNEUM RESEARCH MATERIALS develops, in FlexFunction2Sustain project, bio-based and/or bio-degradable UV-curable imprint resins for the fabrication of optical security labels and design films on bio-degradable or recyclable substrate films.
