The STORY project, in which both LIFE and DIGITAL participate, is designed to implement storage demonstration projects, to evaluate innovative energy storage systems and to develop business models. The project, led by VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland), started in May 2015 and has a term of 5 years.
As part of the project meeting, DI Heribert Vallant (DIGITAL) presented his work on cyber-security for individual demos, while DI Johanna Pucker-Singer (LIFE) presented first results of the greenhouse gas life cycle analysis (LCA) of storage projects and explained the magnitude of possible greenhouse gas savings of storage systems.
In the remaining period of one year, the focus will be on raising concrete market opportunities based on the developed solutions and discussing their necessary regulatory framework. There will be a series of stakeholder workshops that JR-LIFE will help shape.
