Video – Quality Assessment for Web and TV

Content

Development of algorithms for video quality detection (e.g. image sharpness, instability, blocking, quantisation, digital tape errors, over-/underexposure, flash lights or dissolve detection. For an internship the focus is on a literature study and on the test of known approaches for one or two topics. For a bachelor work / diploma thesis / master work a novel detection algorithm shall be developed for one or two topics.

Required skills

Basic image processing knowledge, Matlab (for prototyping), C++.
