Our MATERIALS institute focuses primarily on micro- und nanotechnology, surface functionalization, materials science, sensors und laser-production technologies.

For the establishment of the new research group SMART CONNECTED LIGHTING, located in Pinkafeld, Burgenland, we are seeking a highly motivated, team oriented

SENIOR SCIENTIST – Analog/Digital Circuit Design

In this position, you will be responsible for research and development of trendsetting smart and connected indoor and outdoor lighting solutions.

Your area of responsibility in accordance with your qualification will be:

  • Analog/Digital Circuit Design with State of the Art Design Tools (e.g. Altium)
  • Simulation, Optimization and Verification of Analog/Digital Circuits (e.g. PSpice)

Furthermore, knowledge in the following fields is not mandatory but highly appreciated:

  • Optoelectronics
  • LED’s, LED’s driver design, Photodiode’s
  • Sensors (acoustic, vibration, etc.)
  • Signal Processing  

Minimum requirement is a Master degree (electrical engineering or a related field) or at least a proven track of 5+ years of experience in the industry or research sector with the above stated responsibilities. Work experience in national and international research projects would be as advantageous as work experience in the field of system integration and control development. Excellent spoken and written command of English is obligatory.

You are a solution-oriented, reliable person with deep interest and knowledge in scientific work. Furthermore, your personality is characterized by reliability, strong communication skills, accuracy as well as creativity.

According to the collective agreement for employees in non-university research for this position the minimum monthly gross salary is € 3.664,- (full-time). Depending on your qualifications and experience, higher remuneration is possible.
