{"id":7164,"date":"2025-02-26T09:53:57","date_gmt":"2025-02-26T08:53:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.joanneum.at\/life\/?p=7164"},"modified":"2025-02-26T13:39:20","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T12:39:20","slug":"life-goes-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.joanneum.at\/life\/en\/life-goes-india\/","title":{"rendered":"LIFE goes India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">The course Tools and Techniques for Life Cycle Analysis of Biofuels\u2019 was held from 27 to 31 January 2025, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joanneum.at\/en\/personen\/di-dr-gerfried-jungmeier\/\" target=\"_self\" role=\"link\">Gerfried Jungmeier<\/a> shared his expertise on life cycle analysis methods and their application to biofuels with Indian students.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the five-day course was to familiarise participants with the concepts and practices of life cycle analysis.\nOther learning objectives of the course:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contributions of microorganisms in biofuel production and their role in life cycle analysis<\/li>\n<li>To provide an understanding of LCA techniques with reference to the prevalent cropping systems in India and their contribution to the supply chain of biofuels<\/li>\n<li>Motivating participants to take research in areas of life cycle analysis local opportunities and concerns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u2018I am happy to meet the growing global interest in environmental assessment with life cycle analysis among young people in India.
