The 2-day workshop will be held at the University UMIT in Hall/Tyrol near Innsbruck on May 23rd and 24th of 2011.

The University for health sciences, medical informatics and technology (UMIT) is located in Hall in Tyrol. UMIT was founded in 2001 and focuses on the exciting and rapidly developing fields of bio-informatics, health sciences, technology and related disciplines. Since 2009, the Universities UMIT and University of Innsbruck pursue a joint effort to establish a new line of research and teaching in mechatronics. The organization of the robotics workshop represents an important step for the coordinated efforts of these Tyrolean universities.

  • Invited Talk by Prof. Vijay Kumar, Autonomous Flight and Cooperative Control of Multiple Micro Aerial Vehicles. University of Pennsylvania.
  • Public Event: Nachmittag der Robotik (Afternoon of Robotics) on May 23rd, 4pm - 6pm, with 14 exhibitors.
  • Tutorial by Andrew Coles, Temporal and Continuous Planning. University of Strathclyde - Glasgow, Scotland.
