Bioavailability of monoclonal antibodies

TOTAL PROJECT DURATION:

10 Monate

Tissue-specific PK data PBPK models for predicting subcutaneous antibodies
monoclonal antibody for bioavailability testing with OFM

The Project

This project investigated whether the integration of detailed pharmacokinetic tissue data can improve the accuracy of PBPK models for predicting the bioavailability of subcutaneously administered monoclonal antibodies. Using Open-Flow Microperfusion (OFM) technology, spatially and temporally high-resolution concentration data are captured directly in the tissue. These empirical data are incorporated into a bottom-up PBPK approach based on physiological parameters and tissue-specific properties.

Our Role in the Project

Our research group conducted a preclinical study to investigate the mobility of monoclonal antibodies in subcutaneous adipose tissue and tissue binding following subcutaneous administration of monoclonal antibodies.
