The ÖROK Atlas (www.oerok-atlas.at) is aimed at politicians, administrators, scientists, and interested members of the public, enabling them to examine, analyze, and communicate spatial developments in a well-founded manner. Users will find a wide range of spatial topics—from population and households to work and the economy to land use, soil sealing, the environment, and mobility.
In addition to interactive maps, the atlas offers numerous practical functions: maps can be exported, data downloaded for your own analyses, and content easily accessed via mobile devices. The ÖROK Atlas thus supports evidence-based decision-making as well as the transparent communication of spatial relationships.
The ÖROK Atlas is continuously being developed. Plans for 2026 include adding new indicators and expanding on existing topics.
The maps and visualizations of the ÖROK Atlas are created using the ViennaViz tool. Cooperative development is carried out within the framework of a public-public cooperation between ÖROK and the City of Vienna. JOANNEUM RESEARCH contributes its comprehensive expertise in spatial analysis, indicator development, and evidence-based policy advice.
