After being welcomed by our Institute Director Anton Scheibelmasser (ROBOTICS) and Helmut Nöhmayer (PROFACTOR) the participants recognised that digitalisation and robotics offer small and medium-sized enterprises enormous opportunities to increase their efficiency, improve their processes and remain competitive. There are various support options for taking this step towards automation, which were presented by DIH SÜD, AI5Production, Kärntner Wirtschaftsförderungs Fond (KWF) and to Economic Chambers Upper Austria .
Interesting presentations and hands-on session at the ROBOTICS Solution Center
The presentation on ‘"Virtual plant planning" by Christian Oswald provided insights into the planning and simulation of production facilities before they are physically constructed. This enables companies to test the feasibility and efficiency of their planned production processes in advance. As a result, errors can be minimised and costs saved. Another presentation on "Assistance systems" by Helmut Nöhmayer showed the participants how modern technologies can support employees in production.
This was followed by an interactive session in the ROBOTICS Solution Center, where participants were able to experience for themselves how robot solutions work in practice. The direct dialogue with experts made it possible to clarify specific questions and discuss individual challenges and opportunities.
