Our presence focused on AKUT® – Acoustic Incident Detection in Tunnels. The system uses intelligent microphones and AI-based analysis methods to detect safety-relevant events such as crashes, tyre bursts, tyre squeal, horns, door slamming or voices at an early stage. Critical incidents can therefore be detected within a very short time and forwarded to tunnel operators.
We were particularly pleased by the many valuable discussions at our booth, the strong interest in acoustic incident detection and the exchange on current requirements for modern tunnel safety systems. The conference once again highlighted the importance of reliable, fast and intelligent detection systems for safe tunnel operation.
