Student assistant in the field of navigation and GNSS

To support our successful team in the Telecommunications, Navigation and Signal Processing Research Group, we are currently seeking a

student assistant in the field of navigation and GNSS.

€1,626 gross based on a 50% position, payable 14 times per year (pro rata) – willingness to pay above the standard rate for candidates with the appropriate qualifications and experience

Your responsibilities will include the following key areas:

  • Developing and implementing innovative solutions in the areas of high-precision GNSS and multi-sensor localization, resilient PNT (jamming/spoofing detection, characterization, localization, mitigation), and signal processing.
  • Working on national and international research projects in the fields of mobility, security research, climate, etc.
  • Developing experimental software solutions, for example in Python or C++.
  • Conducting experiments and evaluating and validating the results.
  • Documenting the work.
  • Publishing research results.
  • Assisting with applications for research projects.

Your qualifications

  • Commenced relevant studies with corresponding specialization options (geodesy, electrical engineering, physics, or similar)
  • Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and/or C++ welcome
  • Good English skills for documentation and technical conversations
  • Independent and goal-oriented work
  • Strong team and communication skills
