About the person

Janik Deutscher absolvierte ein Studium mit Schwerpunkt Geotechnologien und physischer Geographie an der Universität Graz und studierte Geophysik an der ETH Zürich. Er vertritt die JOANNEUM RESEARCH in internationalen Gremien, etwa als nationaler Vertreter Österreichs im EARSeL Council (European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories). Er ist seit 2009 bei JOANNEUM RESEARCH und leitet seit 2024 die Forschungsgruppe „Fernerkundung und Geoinformation“.
