About the person
As an expert in web-based information systems and multimedia technologies, Harald Mayer began working as a research engineer and project manager at JOANNEUM RESEARCH in 1990. He later headed the ‘Connected Computing’ research group and was Deputy Director of DIGITAL until 2025. He has more than 20 years of experience in R&D project management and strategic research planning, has coordinated major European research projects (APOSDLE, NEXT-TELL) and has worked for the European Commission as an expert project reviewer and evaluator.
