Lena Tatschl presented the latest research findings in the field of cell-environment interactions, focusing on the biological effects of tyre wear particles on skin cells. The work, entitled “Assessing the Biological Impact of Tyre Wear Particles on Skin Cells”, was presented during the poster session both as a scientific poster and in a two-minute pitch to an audience of experts.
During the presentation, Lena Tatschl was awarded the Young Investigator Award – Best Poster. The award recognises the scientific quality and relevance of the research presented, as well as its contribution to our understanding of the environmental influences on cellular processes in tissue regeneration.
Participation in the Cluster Meeting highlights the active role played by JOANNEUM RESEARCH COREMED in translational and interdisciplinary research at the interface between environmental factors, cell biology and regenerative medicine. Furthermore, the event provided an important platform for scientific exchange with national and international experts from the fields of research, clinical practice and industry.
