The SeRWas project focuses on improving cybersecurity in the water industry. It aims to develop methods and tools for risk assessment, robust AI algorithms for early detection of attacks and innovative approaches to knowledge transfer to improve awareness and practices. The project is aimed at stakeholders in the water sector and offers solutions to reduce vulnerabilities, raise awareness and improve resilience to cyber attacks.
JOANNEUM RESEARCH's contributions to the SeRWas project include administrative and scientific coordination as well as the development of methods for detecting cyber incidents in water treatment systems using advanced AI/ML technologies. This includes multimodal, edge-based anomaly detection and embedded/small AI solutions. In addition, JR is involved in risk assessment and threat modelling for water distribution systems.
