Petra Kotzbeck is Director of COREMED and has been with the Centre since 2018, initially as a senior scientist, and since 2020 she has headed the ‘Tissue Regeneration and Wound Healing’ research group. Since the end of 2021, until March 2026 she has also been Deputy Centre Director. In addition, she heads the Research Unit for Tissue Regeneration, Repair and Reconstruction at the Clinical Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Medical University of Graz. Her research focuses on regenerative medicine, wound healing, inflammation and metabolism.
