I'm nervous about the many regulations in contrast to the speed of the AI and its possibilities.
Heinz Mayer

About 400 international personalities and top decision-makers from the fields of politics, business, science and society, including committed students, young entrepreneurs and innovative start-ups, met at the Seifenfabrik in Graz to shed light on AI in the context of business, law, technology and ethics.

Nicholas Katz, Data Scientist at POLICIES, was the moderator of one of the near-future debates. He led the audience through the debate on the question ‘Is AI a sensible solution to the labour shortage or a threat to existing jobs?’ with Harald Leitenmüller from Microsoft and Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz.

JR Managing Director Heinz Mayer at the espresso talk at the start of the event: ‘I hope that participants will take away from the event the influence and importance of technology in everyday life and how important technology and innovation are.’
