Inspiring keynote speeches. Interactive sessions. Dynamic hub for innovation and collaboration.

JOANNEUM RESEARCH and the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG are once again inviting participants to this year's Future Day. Future Day offers a unique opportunity to identify challenges, discuss solutions and promote exchange between business, science and public institutions.

Global minds, local moves

Under the motto ‘Global minds, local moves’, the focus is on striking a balance between international perspectives and regional action. In a networked world, internationalisation plays a key role in economic and social development – especially for regions such as Styria. Global minds stands for the openness and creativity of international approaches, local moves for the specific measures and strategies implemented at regional level to create a location that provides fertile ground for national and international research, encourages local companies to stay and attracts international companies to settle there.

‘The previous rules no longer apply!’

Robert-Jan Smits, former EU Director-General for Research and Innovation, will speak on Future Day about the new world order and Europe's path to stability and strength: a preview of a keynote speech that is sure to attract attention.
