The project

What Can the GENDERACTIONplus Network Achieve?

GENDERACTIONplus develops strategic policy advice, improves the policy-making process and builds capacity for gender equality in R&D. The 5 main themes of the project are: Intersectionality and inclusion, gender-based violence, the gender dimension in research and innovation, the monitoring and evaluation of gender equality policies in ERA and the promotion of institutional change through gender equality plans.

Our activities in the project

As part of WP7, we are responsible for building capacity, skills and expertise within the Research Funding Organization Community of Practice (RFO CoP). To this end, we develop and organize virtual and face-2-face workshops based on the results of the needs assessment and the activities of the working groups.

Details of the project

The aim of the project is to support the coordination of the objectives of the new European Research Area in relation to gender equality and the inclusion of women and men through the development of two Communities of Practice (CoPs). These consist of national authorities and representatives of research funding organizations (RFOs). The network includes 22 EU Member States and 3 associated countries with 26 project partners and 14 associated partners.

The project develops strategic policy advice, improves the policy-making process by engaging with stakeholders, civil society organizations and citizens, builds capacity for gender equality and mainstreaming in research and innovation, and creates impact through communication, dissemination and exploitation activities.
